Morgan Eldridge

Graduate Student

Morgan is from Buffalo, New York and earned her Honors B.S. in Chemistry with a Forensics Emphasis in 2019 from the University at Albany.  She was active in undergraduate research in the Halámek lab beginning her sophomore year of undergrad, and focused her research on originator attribute identification from fingerprints, determining biological sex via enzyme assays, as well as time since deposition of fingerprints.  Morgan published her honors thesis on this work in May of 2019.  She has spent the last two years working at the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services Latent Fingerprint Laboratory as a Student Assistant.  She began in the B.S./M.S. Program for Forensic Chemistry, and with the guidance of her mentor, Erica Brunelle, and Dr. Halamek, she has decided to stay at the University at Albany to pursue her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. Morgan is currently a first year Ph.D. student in Dr. Halámek’s lab.

Fun Fact: Morgan practices aerial arts in her spare time.
