  • Good luck to Mindy Hair as she travels to Nashville for the 2019 National Three Minute Thesis Competition. 

  • Congratulations to Dr. Erica Brunelle for successfully defending her Ph.D thesis May 2019!

  • Congratulations to Morgan Eldridge for graduating from the honors college, and continuing in the PhD program in the lab.

  • Undergraduate Morgan Eldridge was the recipient of the Sorrell Chesin Research Award! The Sorrel Chesin Research Award was established in 2018 to encourage full-time undergraduate students to undertake research experience in the Life Sciences, and to recognize those who are engaged in research under the direction of a University at Albany Faculty member.

 

  • Dr. Halamek's Lab attended the annual PittCon conference last week where Erica, Mindy, Leif, and Audrey gave poster presentations and Dr. Halamek gave two oral presentations with one being in the organized NIJ: Advancements in the Analysis of Forensic Evidence section!

  • Mindy won 1st place and People's Choice in the inaugural Three Minute Thesis Competition!

  • Erica and Elizabeth go to NEAFS 2018

    • Elizabeth presented her poster entitled "Semen Identification at a Crime Scene: Using Bioaffinity-based Assays for Analysis of Rape Kits". While Erica also presented a poster, titled "Fingerprint Analysis: Extraction Modification and Evaluation via Bioanalytical Assays".
